Title: Very Nice...
Post by: ratwod on September 17, 2007, 10:36:53 AM
I got it working, and it is really great.  Thanks to all who are involved with this.

IMHO, the installation page should be modified as follows:

On the "e200rbootloader" page:

If there is no "USB settings" on the player, to get a player into MSC mode, select "Rhapsody" mode rather than "Plays for Sure"."

Under "Step 3":

"Some Linux systems may detect and mount the Sansa automatically.  If so, then you can "drag and drop" files in the root directory or the system directory.   However, be *SURE* to unmount the Sansa before disconnecting the Sansa.  If you do an "eject" command, the files may not be written to the Sansa, and you will have problems ."

Quote from: EJECT(1)
If the device is currently mounted, it is unmounted before ejecting.

Also, there is currently no end-user-safe installation on the e200r -- once that is finished the information should go to the manual, not the wiki as that's the official documentation.
