Title: Adjusting wheel sensitivity/button maps
Post by: gstrait on October 09, 2007, 04:50:30 PM
I apologize if this was posted somewhere easy to find and I missed it.

How can I adjust the speed/sensitivity of my scrollwheel?

Some of selections fall between the tactile 'clicks' of the wheel, and I would like to adjust it to only recognize these tactile ones. (After that, I'm interesting in the acceleration software...)

(I mean how as in "which file, what status", although I appreciate hints at 'how' too.)

I'd also be interested in toying with button mappings, it seems like that should be a similar adjustment.

Thanks!

I find that odd, I have an e280 and had never perceived a problem.

After reading your post, I have just slowly scrolled from -74 dB right up to 0 and back again; every single wheel click equated to exactly one dB step.

Of course if you spin the wheel like a crazy man, then YMMV, but it seems perfectly precise to me.

It's also easy to overshoot the scroll by one 'click' and maybe that's what you were referring to, but for me the scrollwheel input scaling is OK.

I'm willing to admit to some stubbiness of the fingers and some sloppiness with the wheel.

That said, though, I still would be interested in the 'how' to do it.

Thanks!
