Title: Which bin file to install Rockbox on Sansa Clip??
Post by: dabrams on August 08, 2013, 10:53:27 AM
I tried installing Rockbox using the required Sansa firmware (bin file). I tried files clipplus01.02.15.bin, clipplus01.02.13.bin, and clipplus01.02.16.bin and get an error each time.
My Sansa clip is version V02.01.35s if that helps.
If you can, please direct me to where I can download the appropriate bin file.
Thanks so much.

You have a clip v2 not a clip plus. Use a clipv2 firmware.

Hi, I'm trying to install the .bin file but I keep getting the same error notice.
I attached a jpeg file showing a screenshot of the error message.
What I'm I doing wrong?
Appreciate your continued assistance!

If saratoga is right, you need to tell rockbox utility that your device is a sansa clip v2, so use the configuration menu of rockbox utility to change the device.

I changed the configuration menu to the correct device (sansa clip v2) and still get the same error message.
Appreciate any other assistance.

Post the log file from your screen shot.

I attached a jpeg file showing a screenshot of the error message.

Screenshots are usually not really helpful. Post the output of the Help / Troubleshooting / System Trace dialog (which is the log saratoga is talking about, but in the error case you can also save it directly to a file and post that here -- see your screenshot)
