Title: no voice battery level (but the voice menus work) [Sansa ClipZip]
Post by: Salomanuel on July 01, 2013, 07:23:44 AM
I'm using Rockbox 3.13, never heard the battery annunciator (of course I'm testing under 50% of charge).
The voice menus work fine, so I guess that the speach files are configured properly.

That was very usefull to manage the battery, is there any way to fix it?

Not sure where you're expecting it but entering System / Rockbox Info voices the battery level for me.

with the old ipod 5.5g and the sansa clip+ if, when rockbox started, the battery was under 50%, the player would happily read out for me

and while playback too, if the level dropped >50% (and every 10% below that), there was a read out of the battery level

There's a setting for that (General Settings / Voice / Announce Battery Level). Have you checked if that is enabled? As far as I know it's disabled by default.
