Is it possible to install only the Rockbox software without apple software installed on IPOD Mini 2nd Generation?

I don't think there is an option for that on 2G (could be forgetting though), but you could delete the apple firmware folders from the drive and they won't be recreated so long as you don't boot into it again.

Thanks guys but this Mini I am working with has only a formatted chip installed, I can't get, and I would rather not even install ITunes on it.  But so far, I have not been able to even install it on there, I'd rather not pass go and just install Rockbox.  I'll investigate the link thanks.
