Hey all,
I've recently received a customized Ipod classic with a 2000 Mah battery and a 120gb SSD.
I would really like to install RockBox on it, however I've seen so much mixed information on installing for either an SSD ipod, to a 6th gen and I'm just really confused at this point.
I am unable to get the ipod into DFU mode (to install EMUcore) because it just endlessly keeps resetting if I follow the instructions. No drive appears stating it's a recovery drive, it just keeps booting to the apple logo over and over again.
I'm not even sure if I need EMUCore so I also tried using the RockBox utility. This offer leads to a message stating that the device is possibly not an ipod.
I've managed to enable DFU mode and got the UMSBoot to show. Now however the ipod throws a PANIC error after it shows "booting..." for a short moment.
The PANIC error states unintended with a bunch of symbols afterwards
Anything else I should try here?
Thanks in advance~

I am not familiar with the ipod 6g, but a lot of people seem to report that SSDs do not work with rockbox on that device. It might be worth researching if your specific SSD is expected to work.
