There is a patch on the tracker for this.

Please, don't post topics in the installation section unless they're actually about the installation or removal of Rockbox.

Excellent!  That's great!  Now can anyone tell me where I can go to find out what "There's a patch on the tracker" means?

In short, you should download one of the builds [found in the unsupported builds subforum] that includes the scrolling acceleration patch.

That patch does not work with the new builds, which is a shame (and why I have yet to upgrade to a new build!)

so, is there a solution for the current build? that's one of the very few things i dislike about the change-over to rockbox, it takes AGES to get to an artist/band if it's half way down the list or further! (i have ~300 bands on my 'pod!). Aside from this, the slow browsing speed when playing a song, and poor battery life, Rockbox certainly out-does the Apple firmware in every other aspect imaginable - it is actually amazing! maybe Apple will re-consider how much they limit their users in future firmwares..

FS# 5594 (the scroll-wheel acceleration patch) has been very recently synced.
