Title: Hearts and "Top 50" Auto-Generated Playlists, anyone?
Post by: darkarn on September 13, 2008, 01:09:32 PM
Hi! I am suggesting the following features to be implemented as features or at least, as plugins.

1. Hearts
It is a card game that comes preinstalled with your Windows installation as far as I know. Is it possible to port the game into RockBox as long as a GPL-compliant version of Hearts can be found?

2. "Top 50" Auto-Generated Playlists
This feature/plugin will able to create such playlists with the following steps.

Step 1: Detect the playcounts of each music file
Step 2: Compile them into a list and arrange them according to the number of playcounts
Step 3: Pick 50 songs with the most playcounts eg. all 10 songs with 50 plays+ all 20 songs with 40 plays+ all 1 song with 39 plays+ all 2 songs with 38 plays+ all 3 songs with 37 plays+ all 4 songs with 38 plays.
Step 4: Construct a playlist with the chosen playlist, preferably one in .m3u/.m3u8 format and another in the player's format; a timestamp will be part of its name eg "Top 50 Songs as of 140908".
Step 5: The user can connect the player into a computer and modify the songlist to his needs

Is this possible?

Thanks!
