how about a 3d racing game for the ipod. it would be nice to have a real 3d game. the controls for the ipod are perfect, i'm sure it can do at least a simple racing game.....Also how about a fighter jet game ya know also 3d.

1) This (the forums as a whole) isn't the right place for feature requests.
2) Games aren't a focus of the project.
-
To add to Llorean's post:
3) Intensive 3D gaming is next to impossible on a DAP with no specialized video hardware, limited RAM, fixed control scheme, limited CPU power... need I go on?
-
yes, you got doom to work, videos.
-
Videos aren't 3D.
-
Doom isn't really 3D either. It's at best 2 and a half. Walls are all perpendicular to the ground, etc, really a rather limited engine.
-
i know, im saying that if an ipod photo and ipod nano can play videos than surely they can play simple 3d racing games with like 1 car and 1 level????
-
No they can't. Not really.
You *might* be able to get something REALLY old school like 4D Stunt Car Racer working on it - but it would still suck.
-
nope it would be way better than doom
-
Do you even know what it looks like?
It looks like a 5 year old kids drawing next to doom.
-
Sounds like your typical case of "loudmouthed schnook of a kid" once more, GodEater.
Seriously pink floyd, if you want to play games so bloody badly, save up some money and buy yourself a PSP or a Nintendo DS. iPods and other DAPs are NOT good gaming devices in that sense.

I like the idea but as said above. It would be to hard.
