this is strange, I can't record anything on my HP120....I keep getting a "disk full" message, & it shuts down....even though I have deleted everything & it's an empty disk
thx for any help

Been deleting stuff in Windows Explorer? Are you sure your recycling bin's empty?
If it is, then try re-scanning your disk: in RB, click A-B to get to the main menu > Info > Rockbox Info, then click your joystick in. You should see a message that says something along the lines of 'rescanning hdd'. Once its done, give recording another try.
For future reference, if you delete stuff using rockbox you won't need to take this step.

Hold down the joystick/navi whilst the file or directory you want to delete is selected until the context menu comes up, then select delete and confirm.

I think the problem is more that Windows being Windows it doesn't update the free space information in the file allocation table properly when you delete stuff. So when you use Rockbox it reads the info and uses it. When you force rockbox to rescan, it looks at the disk then rewrites the FAT correctly. It's a windows problem ::)

Rescanning feature is not present in this menu.....

There isn't an option per se, just press navi when in the menu
