Hi,
I've got a Sansa Clip+. Rockbox worked fine for quite a while. When
I tried to update to a new version of Rockbox I could not write the
Rockbox firmware file. I tried several ways using cache or no cache.
Trying a full update or only installing rockbox itself.
Writing a new bootloader seems to work fine - at least the Rockbox Utility states it. On the other hand it refuses to remove it.
The devices is not bricked because I can still use the original firmware - but since I am used to Rockbox it feels like bricked to me. :'(
Please help! I attached the log.

According to the log the Clip is mounted as sdb, not as a partition on sdb. Is this correct? Does the Clip use superfloppy format?

Erm - I dont know nothing about superfloppy format. I did nothing special as far as I know.
But sdb gave the input to try another (Windows) Computer. That did the trick. It seems my gentoo installation does not work according to other installations.
Thanks a lot - The problem is solved for me.
Good job! Keep up the good work!
