Title: Music files play too fast on iPod mini g1
Post by: ragnarok00 on September 30, 2008, 06:31:58 AM
I have just installed the Rockbox into my iPod mini g1.
It works perfectly except it is not able to play the music files at the correct speed.

I have tried to play files of 320kbps MP3 and .flac, both are faster than it should look like.

After I have turn down the pitch to like 50% (from 100%), it plays the same speed as it plays on my laptop.

I wonder what causes such problem?

Which Rockbox revision are you using?

I'm also wondering about the samplingrate and if Rockbox displays the bitrate correctly. Plus, are those files VBR?

I made an error when adding samplerates which is probably what is causing this. I'm fixing this now, please download again in an hour or so (or use the 3.0 build for now)

edit: should be fixed if you download the 'current build'

I was using the automatic installer, now I switched to current build. It works perfectly now.
Thanks a lot  ;D

Rockbox Utility should be able to install the most recent build for you too.
