Title: Playback
Post by: ruben12345 on February 22, 2007, 02:19:45 AM
Though I've got the uv meters off - I'm using a simple wps, after approx. 15-20 mins playback I get an irritating noisy scratch and the only way to playback again is to switch off and on again. Any solution ?

Also, if I switch on the equilizer, playback stops if I scroll or crossfade fails to work. Any solution

Thanks

I'm fairly certain you're not going to get ANY help without at least saying what target you're running rockbox on.

I'm running rockbox on ipod photo 4G.
I guess the its the white noise, screeching static. I'm using rockbox 2.5

I use a lot of crossfade.
All mp3. I don't have a single aac or any other format.
All ripped at 192 kbps from different sources - itunes, internet, etc.
And white noise happens on any song at random.
Normally, after about 7-8 songs and then when I reboot its ok until probably the next day. Then its the same story.

Does it have anything to do with playback auto skip setting. Its set to 5 secs. I've got the equi off.

Please help.

Got to get rid of this.

Otherwise, Rock box really rocks.

No you aren't.

Rockbox 2.5 was released for the Archos devices only and will not work on any other players.  There has been no release for the iPods (or anything other than the Archos').  You can tell what version you are running by going into info in the menu.
