Title: FS#8753 - headphone unpause on plugin
Post by: JdGordon on March 17, 2008, 09:48:50 PM
Who says we arnt democratic here?

FS#8753 is a possible bug about headphone detection.
currently if you pause the music manually before unplugging the headphones it will restart playback when they get plugged back in.

Now it seems none of us devs actually use this feature so we dont know what to do about the task, fix it (so it only restarts if it was paused because of the unplug) or leave it as is.

vote and going by the outcome of this and then we'll decide what to do.

That's a though task you are giving us! It is always easier (and a favorite pastime for people) to complain about the devs when they make a un-popular decision ;D

Personally I don't have a really strong felling about this, both ways will do for me. But I voted to  just leave it the way it is now.

I also don't feel strongly either way but my vote goes for not-a-bug. It actually seems more likely to me that someone would consider not-resuming-on-headphone-insert-after-manual-pause a bug. Despite how the device was paused, that is after all what the resume setting is for--resuming on headphone insert.

FS#8753 now has a (hopefully) working patch for this. I'll leave this probably untill the weekend unless the poll goes completly one way before then (its 4-4 atm!)
