First off, let me say how impressed I am with the new video player plugin. It's really great! I never thought it would be so smooth or crisp...Kudos!
However, the only feature I seem to be lacking is the ability to fast forward or rewind.
On the Gigabeat, the cross allows you to push up/down for volume change, but the right/left does nothing. Perhaps those will perform the skip feature soon?
Any news?

Appearantly not, otherwise you'd be already able to FF/Rewind...
If there were any news, they'd be announced on the wiki page.

jhMikeS is working on it, but he wants to finish something else first.

yeah thats the only feature I find its realy lacking right now. It will be solid once the seek features are implemented. On and maybe a feature that will disable the idle shutdown when playing a video so it wont shut down after 5 min (or w/e your idle time is set to) when watching a long video.

To avoid that, do what I do, just mess with the volume constantly. :P I can never the get volume just right, especially in movies so I don't have that problem.

For now, just set the idle shutdown to longer than the rebuffer time (for example 10 or 15 minutes). As long as it spins the disk before the idle time is reached, it resets the idle counter.

Thanks, I didnt know I could do that.
