for anyone interested in working on it

well I have picked up the torch.
I don't know how far I will carry it, but I have gotten some bin files to load.
here are some pics

so far it looks like it has a hard time displaying correctly on anything but the ipod video simulator.
here is what it looks like on the sansa simulator.

after I get the screen resolved I will start on key mapping

well , yeah .. that's was exactly the stage of the posted patch :)
-
I sure hope you make some progress with this. Good luck.

Oh no! Not the 2600!
Sorry I just do not have happy memories of my Atari which came with the combat cartridge.
That combat cartridge sucked the casbah.
But seriously if you can make an Atari emulator that would rock.
-
Woot!
If rockbox has a 2600 emulator I will write the Apple firmware to CDR and ceremonially burn it. :D
Can we Pleeeeesssss have Berserk???
"Intruder alert! Intruder Alert!"
;D

That was my first (and last) gaming console.
Combat, donkey kong, and maybe one other title. 1982?
Wow that's a long time ago. :o
-
Yeah, you know the combat cartridge. Not a great one.
-
Mmmm, Bezerk! I played that on the Vectrex system, way back when....I remember getting so far in that game that the robots would shoot faster than the screen could draw, or something equally silly, and the game would crash!
A 2600 emu would be great, I have fond memories of Combat and Warlords (was that 2600?)

This forum is for discussing ROCKBOX. Specifically, in this thread, discussing the plugin itself. NOT whether or not Game X was good. Please, keep the posting on-topic, either whether the plugin has bugs or not, or help in the developing of it.
But since I'm wasting a post anyway, Combat was good. This is final. :-P

An Atari emulator would be sooo awesome. I loved the original donkey kong so much. I would get so far then I'd get bored. Then I'd do the same thing the next day.
-
Haha! As if Llorean's post above doesn't exist! (Sorry I couldn't stand from spamming more this thread - feel free to delete)
-
so does the emulate work at all at this point.
if so how would i get it to run on my ipod and run games on my ipod?
-
fugot, emulator was posted for the interested developers only it is not usable or playable at the moment
