I used this when my gigabeat had problems and it ran perfectly
Hopefully the file hasn't expired

Thanks !!! , it worked , there must be something wrong with the new bootloader or the rocbox files.

There's nothing wrong with the bootloader. Tons of people use it just fine. It may not be a bad idea to do a "clean" install of Rockbox. Remove the .rockbox folder entirely, copy over the new bootloader, then copy over the latest build and see if there's still a problem.

Hi there. I've had a number of problems with the latest boot loader and rockbox - Playing for a few minutes then hanging, database not initialising, rockbox hanging browsing menu etc - I've just "downgraded" to the version in this thread and everything is working perfectly! WOOOO HOO! Thank you so much for this, I can finally run Rockbox.
cheers
Mike.

The BETTER approach is to report the problem so that it can be fixed.

Hi there. I had originally reported the post in the Playback forum (http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=10267.msg78461#msg78461) unfortunately nobody could find a solution. I'm just stoked that I've gotmy gigabeat working with Rockbox :)

As is pointed out in the forum posting guidelines - you shouldn't post bug reports here - you should post them on the bug tracker.
