Title: Downgrading rockbox with the utility?
Post by: zebulon on July 29, 2011, 06:23:38 AM
Hi,

I have the Fuze v1 and am affected by this bug: http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/12184, which makes transfers fail. It has been reported that RB 3.8 was unaffected, and would like to know if it is possible to downgrade rockbox using the utility? It only offers 3.9 at the moment, but maybe there is a trick?
Thanks in advance.

You can do it manually. You will need to get the old release from here: http://download.rockbox.org/release/3.8/ and unzip it to your device.

Rockbox Utility doesn't support that. I wouldn't mind such a feature but I don't consider it important either -- there are enough other issues. If someone wants to work on it, fine.
