Title: "installing rockbox bootloader could not open ipod" on generation 5 30gb

If I try to complete install i get the following:

"downloading bootloader file
downloading finished (cache used)
installing rockbox bootloader
could not open ipod"

Any idea for how I can get past this problem would be appreciated?

Bootloader installation requires running as root.  Did you do so?

I would appreaciate more details. First, please post the output of the About / System Info dialog (you can CnP from that window). Second, how did you select the Ipod? Did you use autodetection? If not why?
