Title: All I get is a hich-pitch noise of the HD spinning.
Post by: DSMRyan on January 29, 2007, 02:53:44 PM
Ok, I had rockbox installed for awhile. Worked great. Then I updated it with the daily build, loaded more music on it, and now if I try to play any song, I just get a high-pitch noise and its gets louder/higher as the harddrive spins. Or so it seems. Like when I first start it up it's almost defined clicks, then it gets faster and higher.

I tried reverting back to an earlier build. Didn't help. The mp3's play fine on my PC from the iPod too.

Any ideas? Thanks

30G iPod video.

EDIT: I just realized I made this thread in the wrong forum. Had two windows open and posted in the wrong one. Sorry. :)

Ok, I just found that some of the earlier builds still work. I guess I'll just use one of those.

I think this may be an issue with the EQ.  As soon as I turn it on, I recreate the aforementioned symptoms.

This should be fixed with builds new that 2007-01-30 09:47. Please test them out.

Note: You will need to reset your settings or load the "Default" equalizer preset.

Ok, 1-30 build works for me with the equalizer preset set to 'default'. Then I can enable the equalizer and make changes as I please.

So it works great now.

Thankyou guys!
