Title: Sansa Fuze WinFF Video converting
Post by: fabulan on September 01, 2011, 04:58:57 PM
hello,

i already converted some simpsons seasons and had no problem viewing them.
the convertation wasnt perfect but i was just for simpsons :)

now my father gave me some films he wants to have formated for his fuze.
i tryed it the same way as i did it before, but the picture always is expanded. for example a circle is oval. i want fullscreen and it doesnt matter if the sides are be cut. for example from 16:9 --> sansa fuze aspect ratio.

video options in winFF:

Framerate :30
Video size:
220x176
Aspect ratio 1,273

thank you,

fabian

just tried other options, but without results.

i only want the what to watch full screen, without that annoying black blanks up and down!!! like zoom in. i dont care for loosing a bit of picture material on the sides.

pls help :-)

thank you, fabian

If anyone still cares...

Get video4fuze (http://code.google.com/p/video4fuze/downloads/list) with these settings:

PAN&SCAN:
Code: [Select]

mencoder  -msglevel all=0:statusline=5 -ofps 20 -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=mpeg4:vqscale=3:keyint=15  -vf scale=-3:176,crop=224:176,harddup -srate 44100 -af resample=44100:0:1,format=s16le -oac mp3lame -lameopts cbr:br=128

Scales down your video to the appropriate height (176px) and crops left/right borders to 224px. Movies with aspect ratio > 1.78 have to be cropped more before downsizing...

This won't work with Rockbox.
