Title: uninstall rockbox when my pc won't recognize that it is plugged in.
Post by: jordanwertz on April 25, 2008, 02:20:47 PM
I have a Sansa e250 with rockbox
It plays fine, but whenever I plug it into any pc it isn't recognize and it boots up into the original sansa firmware.
If it is not plugged in and I turn it on, it boots into rockbox.
This means that I can't add any new files or take any off.
What can I do to take rockbox off of the sansa, when I can't access the rockbox files to delete them?
Thanks for any help you can provide

Jordan

Rockbox doesn't have a full USB stack yet, so you need to use the Sansa firmware for any file transfers.

The manual (http://download.rockbox.org/manual/rockbox-sansae200/rockbox-buildch3.html#x5-290003.1.3) has more information about dual booting.

Thanks.
While waiting briefly for a response, I was reading other topics and finally noticed that booting into Sansa firmware and THEN plugging in would work.
I had looked before and never found that.
Good to Go.
