Hey everyone this is my second ipod video I love lockbox. Anyway I have tried installing lockbox on it but every time I do it has a debug error on it. It says press select to debug. Any ideas? Please help. Erin

Be more specific about what you are doing and what happens. Are you saying that rockbox utility is crashing?
-
Hi. The downloader seems fine. Everything seems to go well. But when I unplug my ipod and, turn it on afterwords I just see a black screen that says "press select to debug" when I do that I get lots of numbers constantly no ing. Have no idea what it is.

Can you start from the beginning again and please give us specific information as to what you are doing with the installation process? Your response is much too vague.
1) Are you using Rockbox Utility? What operating system (Windows, OS X, Linux?)
2) Are you certain you have an iPod Video and not an iPod Classic?
3) Have you installed both the bootloader and a Rockbox build?
4) If possible, can you supply us a photo of this "press select to debug" message so that maybe we can get an idea of what you're talking about?
If you're using an iPod Classic, there are extra (and different) steps you need to take to install Rockbox on that platform. Also, there is a manual you can look through
(look on the side bar to the left and click the "Manual" link) that describes both how to install and use Rockbox on nearly every device it's available for.
But first, please... details. Then next step: solving your issue.

You mean its modified with new hardware? There is a good chance that is the problem, particularly since that one photo shows a hard disk error of some kind. Does it at least work with the Apple firmware?
-
yes. it has a different hard drive. the previous owner said he used rockbox on it though.

I'm not entirely convinced.
That 'hard disk error' looks suspiciously like the user just jumped into the debug screen from the bootloader to me.
Smells more like an incomplete installation.
