Hey guys, heard about this on Leo Laporte's FLOSS podcast, and this looks great.
I have what I THINK is a 2nd gen nano. (brushed silver finish, tall and narrow)
I downloaded the installer and it says its not supported....
From the releases though, it looked like it was supported...

That is what it looks like....
Am I missing something?

The picture you're linking is the iPod Mini, not the iPod Nano. They look similar, but are different players. Trust the list of supported players, don't try to guess by pictures.

Honesyl I have never heard of the Mini....just the touch...nano...shuffle...and classic...mini is new to me..

Correct. That's why the first thing you see at http://www.rockbox.org is:
Rockbox is an open source firmware for mp3 players, written from scratch. It runs on a wide range of players:
* Apple: 1st through 5.5th generation iPod, iPod Mini and 1st generation iPod Nano
(not the Shuffle, 2nd/3rd gen Nano, Classic or Touch)
