Title: 30gb ipod video install rockbox need help (from mac os x on Terminal)
Post by: imarc15 on August 23, 2006, 11:54:19 AM
While following the Mac OS X instructions for installing rockbox, the bootloader wouldnt install and instead came up with this in Terminal :

[ERR]  Specified partition (0) does not exist:
Part    Type   Start Sector    End Sector    Size (MB)

What do I have to do?

Is your iPod formatted FAT32 or HFS+?  If it is HFS+, it will need to be reformatted to FAT32.  I believe that there are instructions on how to do that in the manual or the IpodInstall wiki page.

You might want to detail the steps you took exactly and also tell us when the error occurred.
