Is the e200r just the same thing as the e200 still? They have different downloads for this version and the e200r file is not there ???

Yes, for the e200r, just download the build for the e200.

Cool, but the Automatic Installer says version 3.4 to be installed though. I havent tried the installation yet to see if it installs 3.5 but thought I'd mention it.
-
Thanks for the release!
As is usual, I seem to be having a problem. I should write down what I do so I can do it again every time a new build comes out.
Is there a link (or a place on SVN) to download the source for 3.5? I can find the daily build source on svn, and can download a specific revision, but can't find 3.5. I'm sure I'm just looking in the wrong place because I seem to remembering finding the source for 3.4 somewhere.

I used rbutilqt on linux to install on iPod mini 2nd g. I picked stable; It said it would install 3.4. The iPod said rockbox 3.4 upon reboot so it doesn't appear to be a UI thing while really installing 3.5. Will try to install 3.5 manually now.
[a few mins later]
Installed 3.5 manually; iPod reports 3.5 on reboot.
Trying with e200v1; same thing.
So it appears that the linux util may not know what the latest stable build is. Or something.

The source for 3.5 is here: http://download.rockbox.org/release/3.5/rockbox-3.5.7z
You can checkout the svn for 3.5 with this command:
svn co svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/tags/v3_5 destination_directory

Downloading it now, thanks!
You can checkout the svn for 3.5 with this command:
svn co svn://svn.rockbox.org/rockbox/tags/v3_5 destination_directory
Would you believe I tried ALMOST that exact text, after perusing the directories? My only difference was I put an extra / after "v3_5". Some day I'll get this right.
Again, thanks!

And again, as the last time: give the servers some time to sync.

Ok. Tried it again this morning, now says 3.5. However utility isnt working properly due to player target names being renamed. Will wait for updated version of the utility. Thanks.

I have just upgraded my sansa e250 v1 to 3.5 and seems to work perfectly.
Thanks a lot for the work to all team and contributors: you are great.

Is this with rbutil 1.2.4?

Yep. Ive also tried rbutilqt-r24445 and it still doesnt detect it and says target name mismatch.

Well, of course target names do mismatch. They will mismatch until you installed a new version, which means that you at least once need to ignore this warning. It won't go away magically, the names have been changed ...

Sorry - even I don't understand that. Can you explain a bit clearer please?
-
You can safely ignore the target mismatch warning. That happens because some targets where renamed recently.
But rbutil should still correctly autodetect your target.
Can you provide some more Info ? Like which target, which OS.
And if you could upload the log from About->Troubleshoot->System Trace after you get your problem somewhere maybe we can find out what happens and fix it.
-
Just to clarify, my understanding is that Rockbox Utility is complaining that the target name of the installed build (in the rockbox-info.txt file) is different to the target name that has been auto-detected. e.g. the installed build may be labeled "h120", but the new Rockbox Utility is detecting the device as an "iriverh120"
So as others have said, you need to override this the first time you upgrade Rockbox using the new version of Rockbox Utility, and then things will match.

Just for the record, that menu has been renamed and is now "Help / Troubleshoot / System Trace". I've renamed "About" to "Help" to (hopefully) make it clearer that it could be a good idea to look at this menu if you have problems.

Exactly, though it checks between installed build and selected build. The target mismatch check does not know if the selected target has been detected or selected by the user, and the user can always override the selection the detection made. Shouldn't be a real difference from a users point of view, though :)
-
Yes, so I clicked OK rather than Abort due to the target name error and it seemed to work and install Rockbox 3.5 onto the ipod. I tested autodetect after and it detects it properly now.
Thanks all.

I got a problem with this relase. I got Ipod 5,5 80Gb, and Bluetooth adaptor (SONY TMR-BT8ip), and it's not working. With previous version (3.4)it was working great. Any ideas how to change it, or where I can find Rockbox 3.4 for downgrade?
-
Support or otherwise for that shouldn't have changed - please open a thread for it and we can discuss getting it to work there.
