« Last post by Eugen5s on April 25, 2018, 01:08:44 PM »
Is there a way to backup the firmware for the Benjie T6? My T6 came with the Firmware ver 1.07Beta.

Rockbox app with Android 5.0 or up compatibility is out there a long time ago, but it is developed by a user in Rockbox Chinese community. The download process required a good Chinese reading ability, so it is almost impossible for a non-Chinese person to find it out. I only distributed it by extracted it, set the default language to English, did some translating jobs on the file name, made a instruction file then recompressed it. The app and additional files belong to the author "迈戈" from Rockbox Chinese community.

Do you happen to have a link to source or patches that were applied? Just a binary is useless for further progress (as well as against the license, obviously)
I got a github link from a admin of the Rockbox Chinese Community that is supposed to be some sort of patch files of the rockbox app. I think this is a project for the main Rockbox app, and the one I posted before seems to be a theme package with two versions of main apps in it. As I said before, I have no idea of what these things are about and how they works, so if you guys are interested but puzzled after looking at the project, you will need to contact the email of the admin for clarifying your confusions.

New Ports / Re: AGPTEK Rocker

As stated before, Benjie T6 and Agptek Rocker v1 is exactly the same hardware.
You can interchange firmware between the two (i.e flash agptek firmware in T6 and vice versa).
There is NO FM nor recording.

I received my Benjie T6 this week. It does NOT have a FM or recording option.
There have been several reports that the AGPTEK Rocker (v1) and Benjie T6 are the same hardware. With v2 the metal case has rounded edges.
In the meantime I have the Rocker v1.2 firmware and Rockbox on it.  ;)

There is another item quite similar : the Benjie BJ-T6.

Avalaible for purchase here, for cheaper :
https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/New-Original-BENJIE-T6-X1000-Bluetooth-Sans-Perte-Musique-MP3-Player-1-8-LCD-Support-cran/32856559739.html?spm=a2g0w.search0204.3.3.67325f48qgaG9U&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0%2Csearchweb201602_5_10152_10065_10151_10344_10068_5722815_10342_10343_10340_10341_5722915_10698_5722615_10697_10696_10084_10083_10618_10305_10304_10307_5722715_5711215_10059_10184_308_100031_10103_441_10624_10623_10622_5711315_5722515_10621_10620%2Csearchweb201603_19%2CppcSwitch_5_ppcChannel&algo_expid=7be604c1-f3cb-40ee-98b4-6278478f5222-0&algo_pvid=7be604c1-f3cb-40ee-98b4-6278478f5222&priceBeautifyAB=0

It seems that AGPTek designed the Rocker, while BENJIE is manufacturing the item.

Accoreding to AliExpress, there are some differences, as the BENJIE is supporting FM, and recording.

The Benjie site is not as precise.
http://www.benjie-tx.com/MP3HiFiPlayer/224.html#

I plan to purchase a Benjie to test RockBox on it. And try the FM and the recording options.

Any advice ?

Feature Ideas / Please add "crossfeed strength slider" to Meier crossfeed
« Last post by ironmine on April 21, 2018, 10:49:45 PM »
Dear Rockbox developers,

I am so thankful that you have added the Meier crossfeed to the Rockbox.

Can you please add the slider to the Meier crossfeed to change the strength of the crossfeed effect.

I know that the VST implementation of the Meier crossfeed has such a slider, I like using it somewhere between 17 and 33.
The Meier crossfeed as a Foobar component also has such a slider.

It seems to me the current strength effect of the Meier crossfeed in the Rockbox software is too small for many users and they would be very grateful if you could add the ability to adjust it.

Also, it would be nice if the Meier crossfeed automatically reduced the signal level (by 6 dB) before applying the crossfeed effect, because crossfeeding the stereo audio signal often results in digital clipping.

Thank you very much,

Regards,
Eugene K

Audio Playback, Database and Playlists / Re: Can I not use playlist on H320 with Rockbox?
« Last post by lumaom6 on April 21, 2018, 07:51:52 PM »
If you're just asking how to play music without making an m3u file, just browse to the file and select it."
I tried by selection the song from my MUSIC files but it ended up creating a playlist. BTW, how do I Delete a created Playlist. Thanks for your patience but I don't remember having this problem on any of my H320 and H340 with Rockbox in all of them. The only way would be to use the original firmware but I love RB to much to do that!

pamaury said a while ago, later he would add an option to configure what happens if Rockbox shuts down: full power off, sleep or boot loader screen.

Oh, this would be great. I hope this will not take too long.
When i can tell rockbox to full power off - then this player is close to perfect for me.

@saratoga: can you please add the calibration for Sony NWZ-E470, too?  https://pastebin.com/WwMjtE1W

Edit: I just looked at the source and apparently today there is no distinction between different NWZ players in that file, instead the capacity in  firmware / export / config  needs to be set for the various Sony players.

What you talk about above is the bootloader screen and its behavior.
