Hello. I've installed the rockbox on my Sansa e270 and I have some problems:
1 - It works but it doesn't play any music or any movie. When I push play
the "play screen" appears but nothing happens. Anybody knows why?
2 - I've tried to update the database and a error ocorried:
data abort at 0082c40
then, since that, I can't load rockbox again. When I try to power on the
same error apears again. I've already delete the rockbox.e200 file and the
.rockbox folder and the error remains. I've tried to recover the original
/dev/sda2 (I've copied the original /dev/sda2 using dd) and restore the
original firmware and the installed a new version of rockbox and the error
doesn't desapear. I think that the autoloading database setting still is
stored in some place and it is trying to load a database that doesn't
exist. I think this because when it worked I changed the background color
from white (the default) to light yellow and this setting still appears when
I try to load rockbox and the error appears, even after I did the things above. I would like to
know where rockbox save the settings and how can I clean this settings?
Anybody can help me, please?
I don't know if here is the best place to do questions like this.
Sorry my "bad English".

Can't help on your second point, but as for there being no sound, it says quite clearly on the Sansa port page that there's no audio support yet :

oh yes, you're right. sorry for may dumb question, but my rockbox still have the data abort problem and I don't know how to fix it.

I suspect fixing it isn't your job unless you're deciding to join the development team.
The sansa port is *very* much a work in progress.

I just want my rockbox working again and I suspect that it record the settings in some "misterious" place...;-)
Have you tried using the "Reset settings" option in the menu?

Well again, I can only say that the Sansa port is at a very early stage. On other builds booting with either "Hold" turned on, or whilst holding "Menu" clears the settings.
I have no clue if the Sansa *has* either of those things *or* if dan_a has implemented that feature. But you can give it a go.
