Title: IPod Problem with track names
Post by: moon-moon on November 24, 2018, 05:47:49 PM
Hello everyone, I'm really new with this, I have this problem, when I initialize the database all the tracks have names like codes, for example "ACDS" thats an example, I have tried to convert the Itunes Database with the help that is provided in this link https://www.rockbox.org/wiki/ConvertiTunesDBtoTagCache
The thing here is that nothing changes, the track names are still codes, and I wanted to ask you if you have any solution to this problem, I'm sorry again if I didnt explained myself really good, English is not my first language and I'm new with Rockbox, btw I have an Ipod classic 6th Generation 80GB
thanks to everyone:D

The file browser shows file names. If you want to use it, you need to give your files meaningful names. Otherwise you can use the database which uses track names.

Connect the player to the computer and use a mp3 tag-tool. Any serious tool should be able to rename your files according to your tags in various formats. However the OF (original firmware) won't be able to access the files after renaming.
