Title: Possible Rockbox port to these players..?
Post by: S.O.Y. on March 20, 2017, 10:29:55 PM
I do not have awareness on what DAC SoC specs are required for a possible port but hopefully the player manufacturer(s) will offer a manual for such. I've been doing some browsing on some mp3's and have come across these two players:

Shiku/GoCool P3000

It uses this SoC http://www.actions-semi.com/en/productview.aspx?id=219 (http://www.actions-semi.com/en/productview.aspx?id=219)

Shiku GoCool S5

Not sure which chip this uses

Ak2117d has a few KB of RAM according to Google, so you can't do much with it.

Are you referring to both or the S5? The link I posted with the p3000 shows the SoC ATJ2167. Or is that the same as the AK2117d?

I don't think AK2117d is the same as ATJ2167. Anyway without datasheet for SoC it is impossible to asses feasibility of the port.

On mobile at least, it looks like that link is to the ak2117d.  No idea about the 2167, Google turns up nothing.

Found ou this player uses the ATJ2127 SoC. The manual seem to be online but I can;t get it downloaded. Is anyone familiar with the specs and is aware if this has enough memory to port rockbox?

On another note, can an admin or someone with the awareness of chips that are not capable of running rockbox make a post containing those part numbers so that the question won't be raised about a particular chip that is known not to run rockbox? And likewise, those that are know to run rockbox? If there is such a post, ignore this post and link me to where it is. Thanks

ATJ2127 is also not going to work.

The wiki can be edited by anyone.
