Title: 100 Gig capacity Rockbox?
Post by: danzaid on March 27, 2007, 09:34:47 PM
I have a Creative Zen Xtra that I bought a 9.5 mm tall 2.5" 100 Gig drive for last year. After futzing around with it realized I was hitting a coded firmware limit of 10,000 songs. Well, now that I've found Rockbox it's time to give the 100 gig drive a new home. What MP3 player is out there that I can Rockbox and install this hard disk??

Thanks for your help!

I think only the old Archos Jukeboxes will fit a 2.5" drive...

How limited are these models compared to stuff like the iriver H1XX models and older iPods (pre-generation 5)?

They use a hardware chip for decoding audio which can only decode mp3. Apart from that they're bigger, have smaller displays and are not that "stylish" the Ipods are.

They still rock, though.  8-)
