Title: Additional Replaygain mode?
Post by: ilikedirt on June 26, 2008, 07:50:47 AM
Hi,

I sometimes find myself wanting another Replaygain mode. Right now you can select track, album and "track gain if shuffle".

I would like to be able to set "track gain if playing dynamic playlist" because I often create a temporary playlist, for which track gain would be more appropriate than album gain, but do not neccecarily shuffle it.

What do you think? My concern is that another replaygain mode could possibly confuse, but on the other hand I find myself wanting this quite frequently.

Regards

Won't Track Gain, the first option, do what you want?

Yes, of course, but - as I usually listen to albums - this would be an additional step to enable track gain and later disable it. "track gain if shuffle" is there for the same reason (not having to manually set and unset track gain).

There's a rather easy way to switch the setting: put a cfg file in the root of your player that changes only this setting. Then "run" that cfg if you want to change it ...
