Title: Fatal Error - WFSO timed out after longjmp
Post by: MarcGuay on January 14, 2008, 11:28:17 PM
Hi all,

Trying to compile for the first time using cygwin and not only is it much slower than advertised (I've been staring at this screen for over 30 minutes now and the computer has slowed down to a snail's pace), but I've gotten several errors so far.

The error is (generally):

# [main] arm-elf-gcc # *** fatal error - WFSO timed out after longjmp

Unfortunately I had to close the window because I wouldn't have been able to type this message if not, and hence, don't have a log of the action (unless it's stored somewhere I can't find).  Anyway, I'm just trying to build a version for the Sansa e200 with the battery bench patch and the devices_disabled patch to do some battery runtime tests, if anyone could throw me some advice I'd really appreciate it.

It looks like Kaspersky anti-virus wasn't happy with the action cygwin was up to and was locking it down.  Disabling it unclogged the arteries (although it's still slower than Grandma).  Possibly an effect of other anti-virus programs as well.  Salut.
