Title: Will updating my ipc 160 rockbox delete my songs?

i just rockboxed my ipc 160 and then rockbox utility say there is a newer ver. of rockbox. If i update it, will my songs be deleted?

i am a newer to rockbox and i actually have another question is that i am having ~6xxx songs in my ipod but when i shuffle the songs in "all track" in database, it loads quite a long time before starting playing. Is it normal? and is creating a playlist the solution?
