Title: Data Abort in Text Viewer
Post by: LucaLeonardo.Scorcia on June 14, 2010, 03:40:59 PM
Hello everybody! I have a reproducible Data Abort in Text Viewer:

Data abort
at 308007F4
FSR 0x8
(domain 0, fault 8 )
address 0x9689B686

The file system is ok, just checked, and I can open the file fine using the Text Editor plugin.
I'm using a FuzeV2 with r26384.

It looks like there's a bug report here:

Thank you, I just found my credentials and posted under that task. Should I lock this topic, delete it, or just let it rot?
Sorry.

It can sit here for now.  The forum is fine for discussion and it serves a purpose for anyone searching for information about this in the forums.  They will find this topic and a link to the bug report.  This is also a good place to announce when the bug is fixed.  :)

This is a Clip+, and it's different, but I don't know whether it's usefully different...

Code: [Select]
Data abort
at 308009F4
FSR 0x8
(domain 0, fault 8)
address 0x62BA4A5F

What do you think? Should I post that on the bug report, or is that just clutter?

Please do.  This is a different target, so it shows it's nothing target specific causing the problem.

Ok, thanks.

Thanks also LucaLeonardo.Scorcia - I hadn't realised that the text viewer and editor were different plugins, and it's very helpful to know that I can read text files despite this bug.

Uchida has posted a patch - anyone got a build environment to test it?

EDIT

This is now fixed, presumably by r27045.

Thanks to the devs!
