First of all: I cold not find a forum, which really suits my question - so I try it here.
I have a rockboxed sansa e260 and listen to classical music most of the time (at last: gapless opera recordings!!!). With my KOSS KSC 75 phones I have a wonderfully balanced sound whithout any equalizer settings. But sometimes (in airplanes, trains etc.) I use my Sennheiser CX 300 in-ear-plugs to keep the environment noise outside. Although the Sennheiser phones are mostly tested as good, they don't really give a linear sound. Somehow the bass is too strong and the middle frequences are too weak. So I've played around with the equalizer settings to adjust the sound, but the results always sound like plastic.
Does anybody have some experience with this player/phone combination who can give me some reasonable eq settings?
Thanks

Hi,
on the following Link you can find a graph of the frequency response of the CX300:

Maybe this can help you finding a good equalizer setup.

Thanks a lot!!! This is exactly the information i've been looking for. After adjusting the eq settings with the famous Sennheiser HD 650 as reference, my CX 300 sound fantastic now - and with a little triggering in the low frequencies even the Koss sound better than before.
Thanks again

It would be nice if you could share the eq settings you found for the CX300. I would appreciate it.

O.K., here it is - but remember, I've made this for classical music.
