Title: Ipod 1g (1st gen) RB still not working?

Hello. I just tried installing 3.1 on an ipod 1g, windows formatted, with no errors, and the scrollwheel doesn't work and the battery reports as empty. I know these were bugs as of March 2008 (the last posts I can find), but have they never been fixed? Thanks.
