Hello everyone
I’m new to Rockbox and installed on a 2TB IPOD classic 6th gen. I added a lot of files and then deleted them by connecting the device to my PC and then deleting the folders containing them through the pc. Looking at the device while connected, the files are gone. On the iPod they’re gone when looking in the files folder. But when I go into the database view, the files are still there but they don’t play. How can I delete all traces of these files?
Thank you

Sounds like you haven't rebuilt (re-initialised or updated) the database. Probably need to re-initialise, updating doesn't work very reliably on modded ipods. Might have to manually delete all the existing database files first.
(What brand of 512gb micro sd card did you use? I tried an integral one and it didn't work even in the OF, don't know if it was faulty or if it's a compatibility issue. Or are you using a 2TB SSD?).

I’ll have to learn how to rebuild, reinitialise or update the database. My iPod is an SSD-based unit. I purchased it like this and didn’t do the upgrade myself. I’ll also have to research how to delete all the existing database files. Thanks for your help!

If it's SSD then updating might work. Has issues on sdcard ipods.
Updating/initializing is simple - check the manual.
To delete existing database files (might not be necessary - see if updating works first), delete files in rockbox directory that begin with 'database_' and end with .tcd.
There are specific 'issues' to be aware of with SSD mods, but you'll have to ask people who have ssd ipod, I only have sdcard ipods.

I was having the same problem - the tip on the TCD files solved it.
Many thanks

TCD fix worked for me, too. Thank you!
