hi!
I wounder if the optical digital input on the rockboxversion of Iriver H120 is working without any bugs?
read somewhere that it wasnt working

As far as I know it is bug free.
I made some recordings of various radio shows and they are great.

I have used it lightly. I did not have any problems with it.

I use a Rode NT4 mic directly into the optical in & the recordings all turn out great

just for your own reference:
the optical in is a digital input. when u recorded u used the line in. its not possible to record digital through an analog mic. you need something that converts the analog signal into digital, an A/D converter.

i wondered about that.....i guess the unit auto-detects whether the signal is analog or digital?

you are selecting which source you are recording through in the recording settings. you can choose between mic (internal) line in or digital
