Does anyne have a working build with a RockBoy viewer with iBoy controls? Oh this is for 20 Gig 5G iPod. If you do can you PLEASE send me the build to virtualball@30gigs.com ? ???
-
i think you mean 30 gig
-
iBoy? What is this? Am I missing something?
AFAIK you can set your controls within the Rockboy plugin.
-
iboy is the gameboy emulator for iPodLinux, with non-hand crippling controls
-
this is where i got mine.... i'm almost positive this is what you're talking about...
It's not a new build of rockbox, because I don't know how to patch it myself.
Rockbox build: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ESQE6XJZ (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ESQE6XJZ)

This forum is no place to dicsuss non-Rockbox issues.
Topic Locked.
Edit: Nevermind, it seem that I got this wrong........

They're actually discussing a patch, which is available in the tracker, that allows Rockboy to use the nature of the scrollwheel as an 8-button touchpad, rather than simply a scrollwheel. Topic unlocked.

-
I believe this is the patch: http://www.rockbox.org/tracker/task/5424 . The tracker can be accessed by clicking 'feature requests' or 'bug reports' or 'patches' in the menu on the left side.
-

Please search the wiki before you ask a question like this. If the wiki doesn't have the information your need (unlikely, but still), or you are having an issue on a specific instruction that the wiki gives you, then go ahead and ask knowing that you did everything you could to find out from other sources.
-
Read it...can't understand what i should do...can you post a

...etc
tut...thx
-
If the existing instructions are too complicated, it is probably best you don't try to compile your own build.
Especially considering it seems beyond your ability to follow simple forum guidelines.
-
i don't know how to compile stuff anyway...is there any easy way to just download a file and place it in a folder and ...that's it..thx....i would be thankful if you could help...
-
There is no really easy way unless one of the unsupported builds has this patch installed. You WILL NOT receive help with those builds in the normal forums.
Again, also, please read the posting guidelines in the announcement forum.

ok......what's the hard way.....a

This page outlines the following:
a. Downloading VMWare Player.
b. Downloading the ROCKbox VMWare Image and run it through the Player.
c. Setting up an environment to compile ROCKbox.
Stage 2:
http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/WorkingWithPatches
This page tells you how to apply patches you download.

i didn't understand most of the stuff there.....the only way i think i will understand by is a 1.

tut......it's just a patch it shouldn't be that hard....oh also how can i get the album art thingy to work.....thx .....a lot....
-
It is that hard. If you cannot do it, you cannot do it, but those are the instructions.
-
there must be another way...eg ...download this file ...write a .cfg file and ..done....anyway...how can i get the album art thingy...thx
-
There is not another way. There is no "must be." To use patches, you must learn to compile. The only other alternative is to find a precompiled build made by someone else that has the patch compiled in.
Album art is also only available as a patch (or in precompiled builds). Also, I'm warning you again. Please use whole words ("thx" is not a word) and attempt to use proper punctuation. We strive to have our forums easily readable and easily translated, and part of this requires that users make an attempt to use proper English.
-
Where can i find precompiled builds.....also what's wrong with my English....punctuation??? not needed....the way i write is readable....and i think every 1 know that thx is thanks....
-
Whether you think it's readable or not, there are rules here. Punctuation is mandatory on this board. You agreed to follow the rules here when signing up, and if you choose not to now, you will be removed. It is that simple.
Precompiled builds are in the "Unsupported Builds" section
-
Can you post a link to the rules....i agreed when i joined but, like 98% of the members, i did not read the rules....
-
The posting guidelines are in the Announcements forum.

1. Wait for the patch you want to be integrated into the CVS.
