Title: How do I transfer my FLAC files from Rockbox onto my 30G fifth gen iPod?
Post by: Farz on April 23, 2010, 09:36:53 PM
Hi everyone, I have 30gig 5th Generation Ipod.  I'm planning on using it strictly for a portable device in my vehicle so my car deck will be responsible for accessing the files as the touch pad on the ipod does not work anymore.  Two part question here;

A)Once I have installed rockbox onto my Ipod how do I transfer my FLAC files on to my Ipod?

B)Since I can access Menu and Files through my car deck will it make it impossible for me to run Rockbox successfully without the touch pad on the Ipod not working?

I hope someone can help because I am an audiophile and have invested lots of time and energy into my car stereo and downloading FLAC files.

You can reach me at farzizzzle@gmail.com  Thank you!!!

A) Just copy the FLACs into folders on the iPod.

B) Your car deck is directly accessing the iPod, and playing the FLACs itself. Rockbox isn't doing anything at all. The iPod is just working as a removable disk drive for the car deck.
