The iriver H300 firmware likes to save recordings in /RECORD, and Rockbox likes to save them in /recordings. Although I don't use the OF a lot, it'd still be nice to use the same directory for both firmwares instead of having two directories containing recordings.
The OF doesn't have an option of setting the directory to save recordings in (as far as I know). Rockbox seems to do, however, in "Main menu -> Recording -> Recording Settings -> Directory". However, the only two options are "/recordings" and "Current Directory" (where the latter saves the recording in the last folder you browsed in the File Browser before starting the recording).
In other words, I either have to have one directory for each firmware, or I can delete /recordings and navigate to /RECORD every time I want to record. Neither is very appealing. Shouldn't Rockbox let you choose between more directories?

This has been discussed in the following feature requests which contains an explanation of why settings are like they are now:

I see, thanks for pointing me there.

If you're willing to compile on your own, changes the REC_BASE_DIR define in /apps/settings.h to your desired location.

Thanks, I might give that a shot!
