Just checking before I actually answer...do you by chance mean fps as in "frames per second"?
(the setting on WinFF should be called "Frame Rate")

Yes. It means frames per second.
I tried 14, 30, 37, 58, 60fps on my sansa clip. It showed snow with the movie.
BTW, I cannot find your old poster about this. DO you mind give me a link.

The "snow" you are seeing is caused by the way the Clip's screen works, it is an absolute miracle that it can display video at all...no matter what fps you use, you will still get this "snow", the Clips screen can only produce two colours, blue and yellow.
It tries to replicate different shades of these two colours by rapidly blinking (turning on and off) the pixels to trick your eyes into seeing lighter or darker shades.
I hope this helps, the short answer is that the problem is with the Clip display, not the video frame rate.

It means the clip cannot play the movies, right?

rocksansabox,
It *can* play movies...they will just always look awful.
Really, the fact that it can play video AT ALL is a miracle...proof that the Rockbox developers can do a LOT with very limited hardware.
If you want to watch quality video on your digital audio player, then, you shouldn't have purchased a Sansa Clip ;)
