Windows Media Player Dilemma!
« on: February 04, 2007, 10:14:09 PM »
Hi, I own a Gigabeat F10, my ultimate goal is to transfer all my .SAT encrypted songs back to Mp3.

The Dilemma! - (Using original firmware) When I connect my f10 to my pc via cradle, nothing happens, and yes it is set to USB. When I connect my f10 without the cradle, it only goes to gigabeat room, even when i set my connections to windows media player.

I just tested out Rockbox, and it's awxome. EDITED

Any help will be appreciated, thx in advance!

Windows Media Player Dilemma!

No there isn't; don't use it. Dilemma solved!

Seriously, these threads may help (bearing in mind I don't own a Gigabeat and I'm not quite sure what you are trying to do):

Does copying back .sat files using WMP automatically re-convert them to .mp3?

You don't need WMP. You connect your GB in WMP mode and you copy and past the songs in a folder using the Windows file browser

thanks so much for the replies guys.

Sorry if my post is confusing, i just edited it, the dilemma is why the gigabeat and my pc doesn't recognize each other when i use the cradle.

if you are talking about using the original firmware with the cradle, the ac adapter has to be plugged into the cradle too
