COP Patch
« on: January 21, 2007, 02:57:27 PM »
COP Patch adds support to use the second core of the Portalplayer chip in the iPod. It's still experimental but as far as I can see by using it, it greatly improves scrolling and general speed of the system.

This is on the tracker as FS#5755 But how do you use the files found there?I would like to make a COP build.

When the wiki comes back up, theres a guide there on using patches to make a new build.  But the basic steps are:

1)  Apply patch to source code downloaded from SVN.
2)  Compile source code into an executable using gcc from the rockbox build tools

Regarding the COP patch, how close is it to being ready for SVN?  I've been very excited with its progress over the last couple months.

Asked on IRC the same Question and was given the following link

http://www.lostlogicx.com/transfer/rockbox/kernel_on_cop_6.diff

This does compile

not sure if this is on the tracker page or not.
