Hi all, have been using my awesome Clip Zip during running all these years and last summer it got so wet during a marathon that it shut down. Afterwards I let it dry and it powered up although Rockbox was showing many errors and I thought it finally got shorted somewhere so I put it in a drawer and forgot about it. I remembered it after some months I spent using a crap buggy AGPTEK mp3 player and tried to restart it only now I got a "Loading firmware File not found" which after a few seconds is replaced by "Plug USB cable". If I plug the USB cable the screen blacks out and nothing happens, no reaction from the PC. If I start it with the left button pressed the original FW boots fine but it still doesn't show up on my windows no matter what I do (tried many ports, PC, Mac, cables etc). It is charging when connected but no file transfer can be made. So, the RB bootloader seems to be toast (I had the latest 3.14 version installed) and I don't have any access into the internal memory. Too bad an original firmware update can only be done by putting the OFW file in the internal memory and not on the SD (is there a way of internally copying that file from SD to internal memory???). I tried all sorts of combinations when booting up + plugging in the USB cable and it simply does not show any reaction in the Win 10 Device Manager (or a Mac for that reason). Any ideas or should I just abandon RB and just live with it having OF and songs only on the SD card?
