iRiver h320 OEM firmware

Granite:
Hi, I'm looking for the latest available OEM firmware for my iRiver h320.

The h320 Wikipedia page (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iriver_H300_series) says that the European version goes up to 1.31, but I've only been able to find 1.29 on opendrivers.com and the same on a mirror of the misticriver firmware repository (http://rasher.dk/rockbox/iriver-firmwares/).

The relevant Rockbox page (https://www.rockbox.org/wiki/IriverBoot) has a broken link to the 1.30 firmware hosted on iriver.com, with the warning that that file is actually 1.29.

Does anyone know if 1.30 or 1.31 are available anywhere?

Thanks  :)

cereal_killer:
You can download 1.31 with the wayback machine for the iriver site: https://web.archive.org/web/20070105172926if_/http://service.iriver.co.kr:80/cs_down_ok.asp?path=1&idx=711&p_name=H320 but it is an *.exe file and I don't know if it is valid. I also found this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7z2DypmySvnWENHSHhPQkJxc2s/view and it is a zipped hex-file that should be ok.

That's great. Thanks, cereal_killer. The one from the Way back Machine seems to be the Korean version. Is this in English or Korean language?

I don't know but I'd expect it to at least default to Korean, and it may have the different FM radio settings (range and channel spacing/start frequency) - possibly not an issue for you but just to let you know.

I do have what claims to be the 1.30 EU version in my archive but as noted on one of the pages I expect it to be the 1.29 - I never used the native firmware, I patched the bootloader the old way (pre the GUI utility) as soon as I'd charged it out of the box...

Thanks, cereal_killer. Have you been using your h320 since release? I was given one as a present in early 2005, but it was sadly stolen a couple of years later. At the time I replaced it with a Zune 80. The Zune was good, but lacked several features and a good deal of the iRiver's of charm. It was also dependent on proprietary software. I just bought a replacement h320 on ebay. I love the drag and drop system, I had it up and running with my own music in about 5 minutes. I'm not sure how hard it is to get the Zune software up and running, but I've read that the Sonic Stage software for NetMD is a bit of nightmare to get going on a modern computer.
