I just bought a samsung yh-925 off ebay to give to my daughter for Christmas (because I'm that good of a dad). I wanted to get rockbox on it. The device came to me with just a black USB cable and the device. The cable plugs in fine and goes to a screen saying "Samsung" "BootLoader ver 1.10", but I don't think it's the right cable for the machine - I don't have a windows XP machine handy to make sure it doesn't work (according to the manual) so I figured I'd ask here.
The device is not recognized by windows. The drivers from samsung don't install because windows says it's for an older device.
I've tried using windows XP through virtualbox, but I can't forward non-working USB drivers to it
In linux (not virtual) I get
> usb 1-1: device descriptor read/64, error -71
> usb 1-1: device not accepting address 31, error -71
> usb 1-1: device not accepting address 32, error -71
> usb usb1-port1: unable to enumerate USB device
showing up on the console, nothing shows up when I run "usb-devices"

My main question is: what cables do I need to plug in the Samsung YH-925?
