TZXDuino (TAP and TZX Player) for Rockbox

(1/1)

mapache:
Hello. I wonder if it's technically viable to port the TZXDuino code to play TAP/TZX files directly from Rockbox without converting them to an audio file previously.

Sansa Clip+ is excellent to load cassettes in ZX Spectrum and Sam Coupé and this feature would be killer.

saratoga:
I think our xz emulator can already load tzx files:

I'm sure it would be possible to support individual file formats if it already emulated the whole system.

gevaerts:
Zxbox is irrelevant here. This is about loading the tape image files and playing them as audio (to load the stuff on real hardware), not to load the tape image files in the emulator.

Have you seen:

Might be a starting point, if you are feeling adventurous!

Bilgus:
It practically writes itsself. :o
