Start by saying I don't use forums much, so if:asking the wrong question, asking in the wrong place or whatever, please excuse.
I often use my Fuze V2 while riding with my wife in the car. I find the GUI of Rockbox very hard to read as the text size is tiny. Between that and the very non-intuitive EQ (although very capable), I'm not sure if I like it or not.
The EQ.......I have to say that although I've been an audiophile for 40years, I'm not an engineer. IMO the simple EQ features are dumbed down too much, and the advanced features allow access to great capabilities, but their use is certainly not intuitive.
One of the goals of designing a GUI is to make both the cause and the effect available to the user. Example: having Q settings without quantification of the actual bandwidth of the various degrees of Q. A 12 band virtual EQ with sliders would be an improvement also.
